About

 "Contious," is a Toronto-based hip hop lyricist and entrepreneur.  Arriving in Toronto at just ten years old, he immediately fell in love with hip hop music after being first introduced to Tupac's music by his older brother. His brother's love and passion for hip-hop quickly grew on Contious as he found himself writing rhymes and freestyling with his brother in his early teen years. Making a move to Canada, and growing up in some of the city's toughest neighborhoods, from Scarborough to Rexdale, Contious became caught up in the street life.  However, the love of hip-hop music, with its creative word-play, was an outlet to cope with violence and loss he witnessed in the community.

After becoming a father, Contious was determined to make a positive change in his life.  He decided to pursue his passion for music as a career. All of which culminated in the release of his 2011 debut EP. With over ten years of experience in the Toronto, Hip-hop scene, opening for various local and international artists, Contious has now devoted his life to being a mentor and the visionary behind the music label, Love Over Colours Shining Our Unique Light in Darkness (LocSoulid Inc.). LocSoulid Inc. specializes in helping emerging artists learn the basics of recording, distributing, and understanding the music industry's business side.  In the fall of 2018, after a hiatus from the music industry, he released Contious Era Vol 1., under LocSoulid Inc. The EP chronicles his journey so far and all of the positive avenues he has taken to get to this very moment.
